April gathering

The 18th Ragamuffin Cooking Club is hereby announced!

For a change of scene we are going to dine out and then watch a movie at the usual spot.

Theme: Indian food & a movie
Date & Time: Saturday, April 21st at 6:00pm (earlier than usual so we don't get home too late)
Place: Tandoor, then to Chad & Karen's for the movie

We don't need signups this time, just RSVPs about a week in advance so I can make a reservation, and suggestions for a movie. You can RSVP on the blog here, on the new group I set up on Facebook, or my emailing me.

Tasty Irish & British fare

This may be the last of the "heavy" meals we do for a while, since spring is truly here and that means light and fresh veggies, fruits and the like are on their way! We had a neat mix of Irish and British dishes, and it was well enjoyed by all. Phil brought some extra recipes for us to peruse, and we tasted highlights from at least two countries:

• Potato Cakes (boxty) from Michelle, with a bit o' help from Chad

• Chocolate Whiskey Cake with cinnamon cream topping from Rachel

No signups are planned for next month, where we are going on our first-ever Ragamuffin Cooking Club FIELD TRIP on April 21 around 6 o'clock to Tandoor for some Indian Cuisine, and then heading back to club headquarters for a movie! (Though we may need some tasty dessert for the evening.)
