November gathering

The 36th gathering of the Ragamuffin Cooking Club is hereby announced!

AND, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE CLUB! In November of 2005 we launched the very first cooking club gathering, and we've been enjoying good food and fun times ever since. :) Congrats to Phil & Rose for being our longest-standing members with Chad & me, and to Kristi for being there too... except for a 2-year hiatus overseas. Haha.

Theme: 3rd annual chili cook-off!

Date & Time: Saturday, November 15th at 6:30pm

Place: Chad & Karen's

This year all rules are out the window for types of chili - all types of entries are welcome - white chili, Texas-style, Cincinnati-style, non-traditional, with beans, no beans, chicken, beef, whatever! We'll try as many types of chili as people want to bring but we also need some other signups to finish the meal, so let us know what you'll bring:
  • Lots of CHILI (don't forget to bring your recipe!)
  • Cornbread
  • Dessert or cinnamon rolls
  • Beer
  • Non-alcoholic drinks
  • Disposable bowls
  • Toppings (sour cream, shredded cheese, crackers)
See pics from last year's cookoff here.

  • Justin & Tammy are out of town, and since Katie & Jeremy just had a baby I think they probably won't come.

We'll be bringing a chili of some sort. :)

  • You know what we're bringing. A little Texas love from Uncle Rickey.

  • It will just be me this time around, and I'd like to bring the toppings as I'll be in Louisville for the day and get home around 5-6ish.

  • I will bring some sort of non-traditional chili. I'm not quite sure yet, but I will post again soon once I figure it out.

  • I do believe I'll be going some sort of traditional route. And maybe cookies or something for dessert.

  • i'll do cornbread and non-alcoholic drinks for now. unless i decide later to do chili, i would do a white chili variety, but at the moment don't know if this is possible.
