Tour of Asia

I hope everyone enjoyed our Asian cooking club get-together! It was great to have a little extra daylight (except when it was shining in our faces through the window...) and time to hang out. This time around we sampled:
  • Egg drop soup from Phil & Rose
  • Vegetable sushi from Kristi & Heidi
  • Chicken stir-fry with green beans from Bryan
  • Egg Foo Yung Cantonese Style from Chad & Karen
  • Pork pastries...(forget the word, but they looked like empanadas) from Rejane
  • Vietnamese coffee from Jonathan (go to the Jan 22 entry here for recipe)
  • Honey-soy walnuts from Jill
  • Chocolate cake from Michael & Toni

Another surprising cooking club - for our Italian club we had no marinara sauce, and for this one, no noodles! I guess it shows that some of us are really thinking "out of the box". My personal favorite was the coffee.
